At the end of 2021, UBP acquired Premix Concrete Ltd: since then, the Group began a rebranding exercise for the newly acquired company. As a result, the mixer trucks, considered flagship equipment when it comes to ready-mixed concrete, are already clad in the new colors of Premix and can be seen on Mauritian roads.
Concrete Mixers Reimagined
Premix mixer trucks, which transport ready-mixed concrete from our production site to construction sites, now wear the company's new colors and logo revisited during the rebranding exercise. The tank containing the concrete is dressed in dark green, pale green, and gray horizontal stripes, which differentiates the brand from its competitors. There are practical reasons for the design too, as the stripes help drivers ensure the permanent rotation of the tank. Even if the rebranding aims to modernise the brand, the stripes have been an integral part of its DNA since its origin.
Premix: The Colours of Expertise
The three colors of Premix represent three different concrete solutions. The “classics” (grey) are traditional ready-to-use mixes that are very user-friendly and help save considerable time on construction sites. The “aesthetics” (pale green) offer a range of decorative concrete for construction and renovation work and are easy to maintain and durable, both indoors and outdoors. The “pro series” (dark green) are mixes used as tailor-made solutions to meet very specific needs and facilitate site management. While the colour gray automatically makes one think of concrete, green symbolizes its responsible use: one where we can urbanize intelligently by mixing gray and green.
A New Brand Identity
Premix's rebranding doesn't stop at its mixer trucks. "The idea is not only to modernize the brand image but also to create a unique identity that will give Premix greater visibility on the local market and make it easier to access to individuals", explains Clémence Bossu-Picat, project manager at UBP. Consequently, uniforms, stationery, different vehicles, goodies, signage (and others) have been revised to display the new colors of Premix. From a digital point of view, the company is now present on social networks and a website (premix.mu) is under development.
