Drymix: a new adventure begins

It’s already 26 years since Drymix Ltd entered the market as one of the most innovative players in the construction industry. To celebrate its journey, the company has a fresh look and at the end of 2021, unveiled a new logo and improved packaging that better reflects its mission and ambitions. Below is an interview with Jonas Robert, Sales Manager at Drymix Ltd.

 

A pioneering company

Everything began in 1996. The construction market was then dominated by the use of traditional mortar, created using a mix of rocksand, cement and water. Aware of the limitations of this composition, Drymix Ltd innovated by offering a ready-made mortar, which has the appropriate drying time needed to achieve a high-quality finish that reduces the risk of cracks.

The company has not stopped there. “Ceilings are concrete surfaces that plaster does not adhere to. In the past, contractors would spend a lot of time texturising a surface to help the plaster mechanically bond to it,” explains Jonas Robert. To remedy this, Drymix launched, during the same period, its mortar-glue Primefix Plus to be applied before plastering… a major innovation!

 

From specialists to experts

Modern and dynamic, Drymix Ltd has a mission: to offer its clients the best by ceaselessly moving with the times. The company has succeeded on all fronts because as well as offering quality, it also aims to produce things locally, according to international norms. “Today our factory is equipped with the most modern and high-performing European equipment. We also have a laboratory with an ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation in relation to tile adhesive, the only one on the island, and in the region, for the production of tile adhesive,” further explains Jonas Robert.

As well as this we note numerous other accreditations: ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025 or MS EN 12004, the Mauricert accreditation approved by the Mauritius Standard Bureau in relation to tile adhesive. “We have also diversified and today offer more than 25 different products which provide solutions for all types of buildings,” he specifies. Floors, walls, the repair of floors, ceilings and concrete: the company knows no limits. It also emphasises a culture of excellence by offering personalised service and support to each of its clients.

 

A new image

In 2021, Drymix Ltd decided to review its logo, its packaging and its business philosophy to continue its pursuit of excellence. Its new logo symbolises this. The X of Drymix has the quality check mark on top, which references its accredited laboratory, and below this, the roof of a house which refers to the commitments of the brand: quality products, prepared according to international norms, for a house made to the highest standards.

Furthermore, its new slogan ‘the mortar experts’ (L’expert des mortiers, in French) celebrates this long journey. “Over and above the quality of our products, it’s also the excellence of our service at all levels which motivates us,” concludes Jonas Robert. Indeed, in addition to the numerous teams dedicated to training and accompanying clients, fifteen years ago Drymix was also the first company to have bet on mortar spray machines to improve its efficiency. A forward-thinking company that has, at the heart of its mission, a desire to offer the best to its clients!
